Ice Cream El Michoacáno is a Latinx owned restaurant and ice cream shop here in Des Moines, Iowa. The current brand elements used for this business are all over the board, so I took it upon myself to create a cohesive feel through various pieces of product
The original design called for color. I limited the colors to a select few that could also be used to represent ice cream flavors. The design of the logo, and the use of color has changed in order to keep printing cost cheap.
One thing that Ice Cream El Michoacáno shares with other Latinx owned restaurants, is their extensive menu. I found it important to highlight the variety through means of small illustrated icons.
Eventually the design began to take on a monochromatic look. An element that is seen through out is the use of the mascot in the logo.
